Booper the Robot LOVED Christmas.
He loved the twinkly lights.
He loved the jingle bells.
And he loved counting down the days with his friends: Amy, Leo, and Mia.
But this year,
Booper did NOT want to wait.
On December 1st, Booper woke up with his antenna glowing.
“It’s Christmas!” he shouted.
Amy giggled. “Not yet, Booper.”
Leo shook his head. “Twenty-four more days!”
Mia smiled. “We’ll wait with you!”
Booper blinked.
“TWENTY-FOUR DAYS?!”
His circuits buzzed. “I CAN’T WAIT!”
The next day, Booper zoomed to the tree.
“Is it Christmas now?”
“Nope,” said Mia. “Still waiting!”
On December 5th, Booper wrapped every present he could find, even Leo’s math book.
“Booper!” Leo laughed. “I’ll need that book for school!”
On December 10th, Booper ate a whole plate of gingerbread cookies.
“I had to test them!” he said.
Amy whispered, “Someone’s having trouble waiting.”
On December 15th, Booper sat in front of the fireplace, staring at the stockings.
He poked his own stocking.
“Maybe just ONE present is ready to open?”
His friends shook their heads.
“Waiting makes Christmas special,” said Amy.
“Like saving your favorite food for last,” said Leo.
Mia added, “And we can have fun while we wait!”
So together they made paper snowflakes,
decorated the tree with sparkly stars,
sang robot carol songs,
and built a “Countdown to Christmas” chain for Booper to snip each night.
Finally, after snipping the very last paper chain link,
Booper gasped.
“It’s Christmas Eve!” he squeaked.
“JUST ONE MORE NIGHT!”
Booper tucked himself into bed with his antenna glowing.
He wiggled. He beeped. He finally fell asleep.
On Christmas morning, he burst from bed with a shout:
“I DID IT! I WAITED!”
His friends cheered.
“See?” Amy smiled. “Waiting makes the day special.”
Booper hugged them, careful not to squish.
“My heart is glowing EXTRA bright today.”
And together they unwrapped presents, shared cookies, and laughed by the tree.
“Sometimes waiting is hard.
But waiting with friends makes Christmas the best!
Boop-boop-beep!
Merry Christmas, Everyone!” said Booper.

Boop-boop all the way,
Booper loves to play,
Zooming ’round the Christmas tree
On this fun, happy day—HEY!
Circuits full of cheer,
Antenna shining bright,
Beeping out a merry tune
All through the starry night!

Oh, boop-boop bells! Boop-boop bells!
Booper sings Hooray!
Oh, what fun it is to beep
A robot song today—HEY!
Boop-boop bells! Boop-boop bells!

Will beep your blues away!
