“Robot Won’t Say I’m Sorry” is the first book in a series about Boomer, the robot who needs a little help with social skills. And of course, it’s not just robots who can use practice and tips on how to get along with others. Each book in the series will focus on a different social skill.

Like Jan Peck’s other children’s books, this one will be enjoyed by kids as well as the adults who read it with them. Unlike her other books, this one is currently available in e-book only, which makes it perfect for sharing on the go from tablets, phones, or Kindles. It will also be popular with teachers who can project the book on interactive whiteboards or digital displays for an entire class to see. Teachers and parents can use the free, downloadable materials available from the author’s website to supplement and reinforce the skills taught in each book. And while you’re there, check out her other free downloads and learn how to book an author’s visit.

What a delightful spark of joy! In “Robot Won’t Say I’m Sorry,” Jan Peck brilliantly blends heart and hardware to help kids understand emotions through the lovable foibles of a robot named Booper. With gentle humor and expressive illustrations, this story teaches little ones that even robots make mistakes sometimes—and that’s okay!

Grown-ups will appreciate the clever way Jan Peck introduces behavioral strategies, while kids will simply fall in love with a robot who’s learning to feel. Perfect for classrooms, bedtime, or any time a little emotional tune-up is needed.
